Introduction to Eindhoven University of Technology

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is represented in the DDSS research school by the chair of Design Systems (DS) and the chair of Urban Planning (UP), both being a part of the department of Architecture, Building, and Planning.

Currently, the two most relevant research areas in the development of Design & Decision Support Systems at TU/e include the modelling of:

  1. Decision making and choice behaviour under bounded rationality and
  2. Interactions between actors involved in planning and design decision processes.

Both issues pertain to users of the systems (planners and designers) as well as users of built environments that are the subject of planning and design decisions.
