Multidisciplinary Research Team in Design Engineering in University of Liège (Belgium)

Created in 2001, the LuciD Group is specialized in human machine interaction in design. The team is composed of researchers from complementary fields:  architectural design, computer science (AI and computer vision), cognitive science, electronics and mechanical engineering assisted by a staff of Graphic designer, administrative manager and business manager.

Its research works concern the assistance to designers and especially contents:

The cognitive activity analysis during design task

The knowledge models formalization: design process, design product and implicit data management

The innovative technologies for human machine interaction: fuzzy logic & computer graphics, signal processing, AI & computer vision

The development of intelligent and natural interfaces software, especially based on smart sketch.
